Code of Conduct

Coaches/Managers Code of Conduct:

1. Coaches will always be fair, firm and consistent. 2. Coaches will promote a positive attitude and lead by example. 3. Coaches will not argue with parents, officials, players or opponents and will always demonstrate good sportsmanship. 4. Coaches will respect the referee's call as final and any argument is grounds for expulsion from game and league. 5. Coaches are responsible for the actions of their assistants, players, parents, and spectators. 6. Coaches will adhere to the policies and procedures of Sportsplex of Halfmoon and set a proper example for all to follow. 7. Coaches will stress teamwork and respect for every athlete and family. 8. Coaches will allow each athlete the opportunity to compete and excel by giving each player equal playing time. 9. Coaches will display control, respect, dignity, and professionalism to all involved in the league. 10. Coaches will never strike, shove, threaten, or lay a hand upon an official, spectator, player or opponnent. 11. Coaches will never coach or train under the influence of alcohol or drugs. 12. Coaches will never use trash talk, profane, obscene, or vulgar language under any circumstance. 

 

Players Code of Conduct:

1. Players will play by the laws of the game. 2. Players will control their temper and not retaliate when they feel they've been wronged. 3. Players will be "good sports" by cheering all good plays, whether by your team or opponent. 4 Players "good sports" do not cheer mistakes or errors by opponents. 5.Players will cooperate with coaches, teammates, opponents and referees. 6. Players will remember that flag is a team game and encourage teammates not criticize or reprimand. 7. Players will never abuse anyone or swear in frustration on or off the field. 8. Players will never use unnecessary rough tactics.9. Players will never arrive or play under the influence of alcohol or drugs. 10. Players must never argue calls and also abide by the referees decsion. 11. Players will treat everyone involved with the league including spectators with respect and dignity.

 

Parents Code of Conduct:

1. Parents serve as role models for their children. Be cognizant of this and work to be a positive role model. Applaud good plays by both teams never applaud mistakes or the unforced errors of opponents. 2. Parents should refrain from coaching or refereeing from the sidelines. 3. Parents are not to not embarass their child by yelling at players, coaches, or referees. By showing a positive attitude toward the game and all participants, your child will benefit. 4. Parents should support the efforts of the volunteer coaches and the league. 5. Parents will never use profanity, drugs, alcohol, or tobocco during games or training sessions. 6. Parents will always show good sportsmanship and set an example for their child. 7. Parents will ask their child to treat other players, coaches, referees and spectators with respect regardless of race, sex, creed, or ability. 8. Parents will place emotional and physical well being if their child above the desire to win. 9. Parents will never strike, shove, threaten or lay a hand upon any person on or off the field.
